Ride Spot will publish your activities as they appear to other users on Strava. If you have opted to hide any addresses or have hide your start/finish points, those private sections of the route will be removed before your activity is sent to Ride Spot.
For example, if your home address is hidden by a radius of 0.5 miles, rides that start and end there will be recorded as ~1 mile shorter. If a ride starts there and ends somewhere else, it will be recorded as ~0.5 miles shorter. You can add, remove and adjust these addresses in Strava under "Privacy Controls>Map Visibility"
You can also choose to have your start and end points hidden, no matter where they are, and select the distance you'd like hidden. If you choose to have them hidden by 0.5 miles, every ride will be ~1 mile shorter on Ride Spot. You can also adjust those settings in "Map Visibility".
If you are participating in a Ride Spot RideMoreMiles Challenge, you may notice your total mileage is affected by your Privacy settings in Strava. These settings can also affect RideMoreOften Challenges — if your ride is very short and doesn't exceed the radius of your privacy zones, then the entire ride will be obscured and not uploaded to Ride Spot.
