Service update; May 14, 2019

Service is restored and web and mobile applications are operating properly. 

We have now installed a mirrored web service in a separate region as a backup to protect Ride Spot against any further Microsoft Azure regional outages.

As of May 14, 5:25 AM Central, our hosting provider’s (Microsoft Azure) North Central region services are down. As soon as they’re up, ridespot.org will be up. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

Starting at 14 May 2019 11:59 UTC, you have been identified as a customer using App Service in North Central US who may receive intermittent HTTP 504-level and 404-level response codes, experience timeouts or high latency when accessing App Service (Web, Mobile and API Apps) deployments hosted in this region. Engineers are aware of this issue and are actively investigating.
